Allelopathic plants

Allelopathic plants are those that release chemicals into the soil and air, known as allelochemicals, which can inhibit the growth and reproduction of neighboring plants. This action allows the toxin-producing plant to reduce competition for available resources and dominate the utilization of these resources. Some plants that are not sensitive to allelopathy. can do well in areas where allelopathic plants are present without suffering negative effects.
